Tigers lose on Morneau's 9th inning single (AP)

Jose Valverde has been untouchable in save situations for the Detroit Tigers. The rest of the time, he's a mess. Valverde gave up two runs in the top of the ninth inning and the Minnesota Twins held on to beat the first-place Tigers 6-5 Wednesday night. Valverde has converted all 35 save attempts this year, but has a 6.88 ERA in non-save situations.
