Perhaps there's no better indication that Bobby Cox is a legendary manager than what on Wednesday night in Philadelphia.

As has been customary in the Atlanta manager's final game in a city this season, Cox waddled to home plate with the lineup card in hand. He was greeted with a standing ovation from the Citizens Bank Park crowd, while the Phillies players stood in their dugout, applauding the long-time field general.

You expect that kind of reception from Charlie Manuel's classy team, but for a member of the opposition to get that kind of reception from Philly's fans, you must have done something spectacular.

Philadelphia has a bit of a reputation for its vicious fans.
