Indians right-hander Ambriz to have surgery (AP)

Indians right-hander Hector Ambriz will have Tommy John surgery on Friday. Ambriz has not pitched since Sept. 8, when he worked a season-high 3 1-3 innings in a 16-inning loss to the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim. He will undergo reconstructive surgery on the ulnar collateral ligament by Dr. Lewis Yocum in Anaheim.
