A's promote Mazzaro and Sogard (AP)

The Oakland Athletics promoted Vin Mazzaro and Eric Sogard from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday. Mazzaro is in his third stint with the A's, going 6-8 with a 4.29 ERA in 21 games. He went 3-1 with a 3.13 ERA in seven games with Sacramento. The right-hander also made a postseason start with Sacramento, winning Friday at Tacoma, allowing one run on three hits in five innings.
