Giants Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

The Giants are off Monday, meaning they could skip a starter and go with their strongest rotation in the final days of the pennant race.

They say they won't.

Manager Bruce Bochy doesn't want to mess with his rotation, and who could blame him?

After all, who's the weak link? Tough to find one.

The Giants lost 2-0 to the Cubs on Wednesday. Jonathan Sanchez gave up one earned run—and lost. It's typical stuff for this rotation, which has to be the deepest No. 1 through No. 5 in the majors right now.

San Francisco starters have surrendered three or fewer runs in 16 consecutive games, tying the 1972 Indians and 1981 A's for the longest such streak in the live-ball era (since 1920).

By the way, the Giants lost six of those games.
